  • Q. Will there be shuttle service from the airport to the conference hotel?

    A. Yes. Shuttles will be provided by the Panama City Beach CVB & their Partners.

  • Q. If I want to stay additional nights, what is the procedure?

    MEETING PLANNERS HOTEL
    Simply call the SMMS offices at 800-628-0993 by April 10, 2020. SMMS will reserve your additional room nights and you can handle payment upon check-in. 

    TRAVEL INDUSTRY HOTEL
    Make your additional reservations at the time you call the hotel. A Travel Industry rate is available two days before and after the Conference..

  • Q. What is the attire for the conference?

    A. Resort Business Casual is required at all daytime events. Evening events, unless otherwise specified, are business/casual. 

  • Q. What is the weather like in Panama City Beach, FL in May?

    A. Highs in the low 80's, lows in the mid 50's. 

  • Q. What is the Marketplace Sales Sessions?

    A. The purpose of the MArketplace Sales Sessions are for the Travel Industry to provide information to the Meeting Planners about their destination. Marketplace Sales Sessions are an appointment generated marketplace. Each appointment is 12 minutes in duration. The Planner is seated in a booth and the Travel Industry guests will move between sessions. 

  • Q. Why do you need an up-to-date e-mail address?

    A. Small Market Meetings Summit Market Place Sessions are made electronically. The scheduler is emailed directly to you.

  • Q. When can I choose my appointments for the Panama City Beach, Florida Small Market Meetings Summit?

    A. Meeting Planners and Destinations (with 3 delegates) are in a one to one ration, therefore you will be able to meet with all the planners. No appointment selection is necessary.

  • Q. What if I don't return the appointment schedule by the deadline?

    A. Any delegate who does not return appointment requests by the deadline, will be issued random appointments. Updated profiles will be collected the week of August 29, 2019, and appointment scheduling will follow via e-mail the week of September 7, 2019.

  • Q. When will I get my appointment schedule?

    A. Hard copies of appointments will be distributed to all meeting planner delegates at the SMMS registration area at the Summit. Travel Industry will get their schedule via email, approximately 3 days prior to the Summit and hard copies will be distributed at registration.

  • Q. What handouts are permitted at Meet the Planner?

    A. Travel Industry may distribute an 8.5 x 11", three-hole punched, company profile sheet and business cards. Brochures and giveaways are strictly prohibited on the Marketplace floor. All Delegates are encouraged to bring plenty of business cards for distribution at Marketplace and Social Events.

  • Q. Where and when is the 2021 Small Market Meetings Summit?
